How did you hear about us?
Before you send

Insurance and after-hours rates.

The two things people ask while filling out this form. If your question is not here, call or text and ask directly.

Are you insured, and can I get a certificate?

Yes. Wilke Welding Works Inc. is a registered Wisconsin corporation and carries general liability insurance. If your property manager, employer, HOA, or marina needs proof before work can start, check the certificate of insurance box on the form above and Chris will email the certificate with his reply.

Who usually needs a certificate of insurance?

Mostly commercial and managed properties: marinas, storage yards, condo and apartment associations, industrial sites, and employers arranging work on company equipment. Homeowners hiring us for their own property usually do not need one. If you are not sure, ask anyway. It costs nothing and it prevents being turned away at the gate on the day of the job.

What are your normal hours?

7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Central. Calls and texts that come in after hours are still received and Chris will get back to you. Scheduling inside normal hours is the least expensive way to have work done.

Do you take emergency calls outside those hours?

Yes, when we are available. After-hours and emergency work is accepted outside 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Central, but this is not a guaranteed around-the-clock service. Availability depends on where the job is, the current schedule, and the weather, so it is confirmed on the call rather than promised in advance. For anything urgent, call instead of using this form, because the form is not monitored minute to minute.

How does the after-hours premium rate work?

After-hours and emergency work is billed at a premium above the normal rate. The amount depends on the job: the hour, how far out the site is, how long the work will take, and what equipment and material it needs. Chris quotes it on the call, before anyone drives anywhere, so you can decide whether the repair is worth doing tonight or whether it can wait.

Is it cheaper to wait until morning?

Usually, yes. If the equipment is not blocking anything and the failure is stable, scheduling inside normal hours costs less. The reason to pay the premium is downtime: a machine stopping a job, a trailer that cannot be towed, or a lift holding a boat. Tell Chris what the delay is actually costing you and he will say honestly whether it is worth calling him out tonight.
